Title: Marketing Promotions Specialist
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Salary: $65K-$85K /year (DOE)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading marketing promotional efforts for the company Distribution Sales team. The responsibilities include planning and executing promotional plans, developing, and reviewing promotional material, communicating with customers and staff, measuring and managing performance, and coordinating and participating in promotional activities to improve business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Plan and execute promotional plans and strategies for distribution business
- Prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products, working with customers, company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies as needed.
- Inspect layouts and advertising copy, and edit scripts, audio, video, and other promotional material.
- Develop communications materials, advertisements, presentations, initiatives to promote products
- Confer with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as selection of advertising media or product to be advertised.
- Monitor and analyze sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns, considering response rates, program objectives, and industry norms
- Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, customer meetings, or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.
- Devise or execute methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires on areas such as customer opinions and buying habits
- Maintain portfolios of marketing campaigns, strategies, and other marketing products or ideas.
- Performs other duties related to marketing and projects as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Account Manager:
1. Education: Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field. Advanced related degree a plus.
2. Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in related role developing and executing multiple advertising plans and campaigns as well as measuring and managing campaign performance
Education and Experience Required for Account Manager:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Continuous sitting and some standing.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes or objects that weigh 20lbs or heavier
- Ability to withstand long airplane journeys (in coach/economy class) in the course of business
